The Rehabilitation is an emerging Department within the ERC whose responsibilities include:
  • evaluation of the physical status of patients with endocrine conditions and personalized recommendations for a healthy lifestyle to avoid complications;
  • recovery of quality of life which was deteriorated by acute or chronic diseases and their complications, surgical interventions;
  • maintaining the health of people of all age groups at an adequate level.
We work in close contact with experts of ERC from other Departments which allows for multidisciplinary approach and continuity in diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of each individual patient.
Our main work principle – personalized approach to rehabilitation based on physical status, which is instrumentally determined during admission to the Department.
WE ARE EQUIPPED FOR INSTRUMENTAL DIAGNOSTICS OF:
tolerability to physical activity (safe and highly informative tests, a 6-minute walking test with cardiorespiratory monitor, metabolography with moderate load);
the state of locomotor apparatus (computer-optical spine topography, computer aided diagnostics of biomechanical condition of the foot arch, power indurance of major muscle groups, elasticity and tonus of skeletal muscles, spinal flexibility and range of motion in large joints); elasticity and tone of skeletal muscles, diagnostics of spinal flexibility and volume of movements in large joints);
body composition (bioelectrical impedance analysis);
neuromuscular conductibility (stimulation electroneuromyography (ENMG));
vascular wall stiftness using the Vasera device for sphygmometry which is recognized by the European Society of Cardiology as the gold standard for estimating hazard of cardiovascular accidents;
external respiratory function (spirometry using Fitmate Med device);
coordination and stability (computer aided stabilometry and Tinnety and Berg tests).
The data obtained by instrumental examination lets us establish adequate types and amounts of physical activity, specify it in respect to physical condition, develop most effective and safe personal programs of physical excercises, motor activity and medical rehabilitation.
We are assertively using our advanced tools and latest therapy methods to prevent obesity, hypodynamia, functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system, as well as successfully treat vascular syndromes, vasomotor disorders at menopause, adrenal crises, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain, various pathologies of the musculoskeletal system such as radiculitis, protrusions and herniated discs, scoliosis and others.
Our staff is most qualified: our doctors are rated highest qualification category, Habilitation degrees in medicine and PhDs. Rehabilitation through Adapted Physical Education is guided by personal rehab couches with a magisters degree in this field.
AT REHABILITATION THIS IS WHAT WE DO:
Individual and group classes as part of personalized rehabilitation programmes, which may include physiotherapy, remedial gymnastics — classical and kinseiological image, — muscle-fascial release, joint gymnastics, cardio-respiratory drills, breathing practices (Strelnikov, Muller, Qigong systems), mechanotherapy using cable-pull machines, hands-on physical therapy, massage therapy, apparatus massage (LPG, Starvac, Body Drain, etc.), manual underwater shower massage (Unbescheiden), balneotherapy and thalassotherapy;
Teach patients techniques and rules to follow for safety while excercising physical activities, maintaining motion routines and self-monitoring their physical condition.
Follow-up monitoring of patients and dynamic adjustment of the personalized rehab programme.
